The Cyrus family is in the middle of an alleged love triangle involving mom Tish, Tish’s husband Dominic Purcell, and daughter Noah — and it’s a tough story to wrap your brain around. Now, sources are saying that Miley had no clue that any of this was going on.
To catch you up to speed in the family feud, Noah, 24, was seeing Purcell, 54, in “a friends with benefits way,” according to a People insider. Once that situationship had ended, “Tish started something up” even though she allegedly knew he had been seeing Noah.” Before long, her mom was married to the Prison Break star and “Tish never gave Noah the chance to talk about all of this before they got married.” The couple, who married in Miley’s backyard in August 2023, didn’t even give the “Party in the U.S.A.” singer a heads-up about the complicated situation.
“Miley had no idea about the drama with Dominic. No idea at all,” a second source close to Miley told the outlet. “She confronted her mom about it. She thinks it’s a strange situation, but she loves her mom and wants her to be happy.” What’s confusing is why Miley didn’t question the reason why Noah skipped her mom’s wedding. Wouldn’t that have sounded the alarm bells or was their relationship already difficult to begin with?
While everyone is busy focusing on Tish and Noah, Purcell’s alleged pursuit of a mother and daughter over the years should be scrutinized more — especially when Noah is 30 years younger. Tish claimed that he had reached out in 2016 with a mildly flirtatious message on Instagram. “I had followed him on Instagram and he DMed me and just said, ‘Hey Tish, just wanted to [say], I think you’re super cool and … you’re doing such a great job with your family.’ … I didn’t see it for a year,” she said on the Call Her Daddy podcast last month. At the time, she was married to Billy Ray Cyrus.
Tish reconnected with Purcell in the summer of 2022, and by April 2023 they were engaged. It seems hard to believe that Miley would be that far out of her family’s loop. Noah has also sided with her dad in his divorce from Tish while Miley is clearly in her mom’s corner. Both sides denied there were any feud issues after the wedding last August, but there’s clearly more to the story here — and Miley seems to want to stay far out of the romantic fray which is a rather uncomfortable situation.
